Six Alliance Boys High School students were on Friday arraigned in court and charged with assault.

The six form 4 students are accused that on 17 of February 2017 ,at Alliance Boys High School in Kiambu County with others not before court unlawfully assaulted their fellow form 4 student thereby causing harm on the said students.

According to age assessment  report presented before the court five of the accused persons are underage -17years and another one 18years.

Kikuyu resident magistrate Daniel Musyoka released them on a cash bail of 20,000 and bond of 50,000.

According to police sources, the said students reported the matter to CS Matiangi directly who later presented him to KICC police station.

He was taken to PCEA Kikuyu hospital where he received treated and later discharged.

They reported the matter at KICC police station on 27 of February. The station referred the matter to DCI Kikuyu police station which is almost 100 metres from the school.

Education CS Fred Matiang’i promised to deal with anyone involved in bullying of form one students.

He said his ministry will not tolerate anyone involved in mistreatment and misdemeanor of new students.

Matiang’i expressed his displeasure with how students undergo torture at the hands of fellow students.

The tough-talking CS said time has come for anyone involved in such “animal” behaviour to take responsibility and face the consequences..

Matiang’i was reacting to a case involving Alliance Boys’ High School, which has been on the spotlight over mistreatment of its form one students.

Court fixed 16 March for hearing.
