Housing Finance Credit Officer has been arraigned in court and charged with stealing millions of shillings from the company.
Nixon Ogongo Otieno is accused on 25th June 2014 at housing finance company along koinange street bank branch in Nairobi stole Ksh 20Million property of the said bank.
Ogongo who appeared before a Nairobi chief magistrate court denied the two counts against him.
The accused assisted Valentina Wambua Wambua Kilonzo to get a loan using a title deed belonging to a different person.
Valentina who is yet to be arrested used a title deed NUMBER NGONG/NGONG/47773 owned by Daniel Miricho Wambugu as a collateral where the charge was registered on April 6.
Housing Finance Bank instructed Crystal valuers to revalue the plot where they found the property to be registered to deceased Jushua Daniel Miricho Wambua and the title deed was suspected.
The complaint in the matter is Wycliffe Kamau on behalf of the Housing Finance.
Chief magistrate Francis Andayi released him on ksh. 2 million cash bail with alternative of ksh. 3million bond.
The case will be heard on 21st April 2017.
