The trial against Laikipia North Member of Parliament, Mathew Lempurkel has yet again been pushed to September.

This is after the court heard that the trial magistrate Hellen Onkwan was not available to proceed with the case.

This is the fourth time that the case has failed to kick off.

MP LEMPURKEL DENYS ASSAULTING NOMINATED FEMALE MP.

However the complainant in the case Nominated member if Parliament Sarah Lorene has protested against further adjournment saying thatjustice delayed is justice denied.

Lorene has urged the prosecution to expedite the matter.

Prosecution alleges,  that on 21 of November 2016 at Harambee house in Nairobi willfully and unlawfully assaulted Nominated member if Parliament Sarah Lorene by slapping her on the left cheek .

The prosecution further claims that the accused kicked Lorene on the lower abdomen occasioning her atual bodily harm.

He was arraigned in court after spending night at parliament police station.

It is alleged that the offence was committed at the office of Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery office.

Mr Lempurkel is out Cash bail of 100,000 shillings.

The case will now be heard on the 18th of September.
