BUSINESSMAN CHARGED WITH ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARM.

Businessman Dhiren Samji Patel before a Nairobi Court where he pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of a firearm make smith and wesson pistol without a valid firearm certificate.

A businessman has been charged with several charges.

Dhiren Samji Patel is accused on unknown date and time with intent to deceive , without authority made a firearm certificate number 12256 purporting it to be a genuine firearm certificate issued by the chief licensing officer of firearm licencing board.

Prosecution further accused Samji Patel on the same date at Balle Balle club in Parklands, was found of possession of a firearm make smith and wesson pistol  without a valid firearm certificate.

Patel is accused on 20 of July at Balle Balle club in Parklands Nairobi , knowingly and fraudulently and fraudulently uttered a forged firearm certificate purporting it to be a genuine firearm certificate issued by the firearm chief licensing officer of firearm board.

He is also accused of of forging civilian firearm certificate.

Mr Patel is also charged that on the same 20 of July this year at Balle Balle club in parklands was found in possession of eight live ammunitions 9 mm without a valid firearms certificate.

Samji Patel is also accused on the 1 of August this year at Kisumu Villas in Kisumu town, he was found in possession of forty two live ammunitions without valid firearm certificate.

He pleaded not guilty to all seven counts against him before Nairobi Senior Principal Magistrate Martha Mutuku.

He was released on a cash bail of 200,000 and bond of 500,000 pending hearing and determination of the criminal case.
