BY NT CORRESPONDENT.A customer has sued Kenya Power over “outrageous” bill of over half a million within two months.

Mr Alan Donovan accuse the electricity supplier for disconnecting power supply on the 4th of September 2018 without notice.

He claims that he received an outrageous bill of 616,000 shillings for the month of April and May this year.

He also claims that he was not at his property at the said months adding that he requested Kenya Power to check their billings and correct.

Mr Alan claims that on June 6th 2018 Kenya Power informed him that his account fro period between November 2016 to March 2018 as per bills he had been paying, had been calculated erroneously.

Alan further argues that Kenya Power is abusing its monopoly, dominance by disconnecting electricity for backdated and unexplained and contested amounts without addressing valid concerns that he raised.
