Former Chairman CBD has written letter to lawyer Boniface Karimi Nyamu to have him expunge his name from a petition filed go seeking the removal of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

In a petition certified urgent by the High Court, Nyamu has said part of the reasons for removal of Sonko is an attack against Muriuki early this year.

Muriuki, however, does not want to be associated with the petition and now wants Nyamu to remove all parts he has been referred to.

“Our client is apprehensive all this kind of unfounded allegations are made with intentions to impede the existing harmonious personal and official relationship our client and the governor. ,”reads the letter in part.

He says that Nyamu failed to contact him before making relevance to the incident in his petition, which is pending before the high court. “Our client demand that he expunge all the allegations contained in the petition,” a letter written by Muriuki lawyer reads in part.

Through his lawyer Alex Wamalwa, Muriuki claims that his client was not approached to give the correct details and chronology of the events regarding the incident.

He further claim that Muriuki firmly distanced with the content in one of the local daily and in the petition in the High Court. “The said content are not true and as a matter of fact, the Governor was not involved in the referred incident,” said Lawyer Wamalwa.
