SUSPECT IN FATHER KYENGO’S DEATH TO BE HELD FOR 10 DAYS.

A Nairobi court has allowed the police to hold a suspect alleged to have killed Father Michael Kyengo detained for a period of 10 days.

Michael Muthini Mutunga appeared before Milimani Magistrate Hellen Okwani who ordered Muthini to remain in custody for 10 days to allow police conclude investigations into matter.

In an affidavit presented before the court, the police said the suspect volunteered more information that he was others when they abducted the priest before robing him of a motor vehicle and other valuables.

Police told the court that the body of the Priest had also been moved to the mortuary to await postmortem.

“The respondents is still waiting to volunteered more information that can lead to the arrest of more suspects,” the court heard.

Further the court was told that after the said robbery, the suspect with others not before the court eventually killed him and ferried him to a far place adding that that after interrogations the Mutunga admitted to have known the whereabouts of the missing father.
