FIVE TERROR SUSPECT DETAINED FOR 8 DAYS TO ALLOW ATPU COMPLETE INVESTIGATIONS.

Anti-terrorism police unit has been allowed to continue holding four foreigners and a Kenyan arrested while taking photographs of Whisky rivers pub in kiambu for eight days in custody to allow them complete investigations.

Milimani magistrate granted the police request to detain the suspects namely Mohamed Hassan Bario, Mohamed Adan Inshar, Hodhan Abdi Ismael, Ifrah Mohamed Abshir, Abas Mohamed Muhamud until January 28 to conclude the probe in the matter.

While seeking to have the suspects detained the police informed the court that the five were arrested on January 18 this year along Eastleigh section 1 after being trailed from the said pub by detectives on patrol.


Mohamed Adan Inshar is a Kenyan national and suspected to have been coordinating the collection of information for the purpose of carrying out a terrorist attack within Nairobi and had constant communication with the other four.

Mohamed Hassan Bario,Hodhan Abdi Ismael and Ifrah Mohamed Abshir are suspected to be somali national while the Abshir has no identification documents.

Abas Mohammed Muhamud is US citizen and was found in possession of a military uniform.

Their phones and laptops have been taken for forensic analysis.
