WOMAN CHARGED WITH FORGING LETTER TO SECURE PLUM JOB.

A former chief accountant officer at KNATCOM-UNESCO has been charged before a Nairobi court with forgery.

Catherine Nyakoboke Nyang’au appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi and pleaded not guilty to forging a background check form.

Nyakoboke is accused that on March 5, 2018 jointly with others not before court, with intent to defraud and without lawful authority, she made a background check form, purporting it to be genuine and issued by Avic Shantui Construction (EA) limited.

She is accused that on the same date and month at KNATCOM-UNESCO offices National bank building, Harambe Avenue in Nairobi , knowingly and fraudulently uttered background check form purporting it to be filled and signed by Walter Omwenga Oyugi.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh100, 000 and a bond of Sh200,000 pending hearing and determination of her criminal trial.

The woman had tried to stop the charges arguing that the case was initially presented before a Makadara court but the court dismissed her objection.

In the ruling, the magistrate dismissed her application stating that it lacked merit.
