POLISH NATIONAL ARRESTED FLYING DRONE OVER DP RUTO RESIDENCE PLEADS NOT GUILTY.

A polish national who was arrested flying drone over Deputy President William Ruto resident has pleaded not guilty to several charges.

Piotr Lukasz Litwiniuk appeared Milimani Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku and denied the charges.

Litwiniuk is accused that on January 7, this year at Moi International Airport within Mombasa County he imported an unnamed aircraft system Mavic air 2 drone without a permit issued by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority in the contravention of the law.

Prosecution told the court that on March 29 this year at Karen area within Nairobi County Litwiniuk operated unnamed drone without authorizatiom of KCAA.

He is also charged with failing to register the said drone with Kenya Civil Aviation Authority.

He was released on a bond of Sh 500,000 or cash bail of Sh200,000 pending hearing and determination of his criminal case.

His case will be mentioned on April 13 for further directions.
