AMBULANCE DRIVER DENIES CAUSING DEATH BY DANGEROUS DRIVING.

An ambulance driver has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Evans Luseno Imbisi appeared before Milimani Traffic Magistrate Martha Nazushi and denied the charge.

The court heard that Imbisi caused the death of peter Oduor Olweny, a pedestrian on May 5 at 7.58am.

It is alleged that he was driving the ambulance when he knocked the pedestrian along Juja road opposite Pangani girls, as he crossed the road.

The prosecution stated that Imbisi drove the ambulance KCY 015S make Hiace at a speed or manner which was dangerous to other road users. He was further alleged failing to pay due care and attention by driving the vehicle using wrong side and knocked dead Olweny.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh300,000.
