HOTEL OWNER CHARGED WITH STEALING, MALICIOUS DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.

A Nairobi businessman has been charged with malicious damage and stealing by tenant properties worth Sh36 million.

Mohamed Hasnain Shabbir Nooran, the owner of PrideInn hotel appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi and denied the charges.

Shabbir is accused that on diverse dates May 1 and 1 July last year at Pride Inn Hotel Raphta road in Westlands within Nairobi County, jointly with others not before court, willfully and unlawfully destroyed the building where the hotel stands, which belongs to Imran Abdul Salaam.

The prosecution told the court on the same dates and last year, Shabbir stole cctvs, door locks, seven room equipment and fitting valued Sh36, 668, 880.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh1 million.
