A former employee at the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) has told a Nairobi court that Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi never registered as a student of the institute.

John Kutima Matseshe, who was head of examination at KIM, told the court that the diploma in Business Management certificate Sudi claims was issued by the institute is not a genuine document.

The witness told the court that the number 36262 on the certificate presented by Sudi belonged to a certificate issued to one Elkannah K. Kimutai of admission number NRB\20870 who obtained a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management, on September 24, 2009.

”The admission number for college diploma certificate NRB/20879 belongs to another person called Scolastica who did diploma in management of NGOs,” testified Matseshe

He added that admission number NRB/20879 belongs to Scolastica Achieng Odhiambo for a Diploma in Management of NGO’s. The student, he said, was registered in 2005.

In cross examination, Matseshe said that a diploma certificate does not show when a student is admitted adding that he relied on the data he was given to him.

This is after Kenya Examination Council Officer told the court that Sudi’s KCSE certificates are forgeries.

Testifying before chief magistrate Felix Kombo, Nabiki Kashu, who works at the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) said the code appearing in Sudi’s certificate belongs to Parklands secondary school.

The witness, who is the head of records and archives at Knec, told the court that the name of Sudi does not appear in the records of the examination body’s database, as having sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2006 at either Parklands or Highway secondary schools.
