Techies twin brothers Paul and Edward Ndichu have been charged with assault and destruction of property almost six months after a scuffle at a Nairobi restaurant.

Paul appeared before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Renee Kitangwa and denied the charges.

His twin brother Edward Wanyoike Ndichu was not present in court, with his lawyer saying he was at work and was not allowed to go to court to plead to the charges.

The two made headlines in October 2021 after a video of them emerged assaulting two sisters at Emara Ole Sereni hotel went viral. The video caused them millions of deals as partners pulled out of sponsorship agreements.

Paul is accused of assaulting Cheryl and Stephanie Murgor on the night of October 16 and 17, last year at the said Hotel causing them actual bodily harm.

They faces two more charges of assaulting Samuel Ramdas and Patrick Kipngetich Koech who were in the company of the sisters.

Edward, on the other hand, face a charge of assaulting Ramdas causing him actual bodily harm.

The twin brothers are charged with malicious damage to property after allegedly damaging the side mirrors of Ramdas’ Valkswgen car valued at Sh 87,000.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh100, 000.
