Fraud trial against two Kenyans accused defrauding a foreigner Sh25.7 million claiming they could sell him gold has been pushed to next week.

The case against Jonathan Okoth Opande and Steve Ochieng Odhiambo will now be heard on April 13 after the accused persons appeared before trial magistrate Susan Shitubi.

The duo allegedly obtained the millions from Samuel Olaleye Adeyeni by pretending they were in position to sell him 250kgs of gold.

They allegedly committed the offence on diverse dates between January 19 and February 18, 2019 at Lagos hotel in Nairobi.

The charge sheet states that they committed the offence jointly with others not before court, with intent to defraud.

The accused persons are out on a cash bail of Sh300,000.
