A businessman has been charged with obtaining Sh14.9 million claiming that he could supply medical kits.
Barnabas Kiprop Bwabok appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Benard Ochoi after a warrant for his arrest was issued for failure to appear in court.
He produced in court under warrant of arrest after he failed to appear in court two weeks ago.
Kiprop is accused of defrauding Ollyvian Agencies of Sh14 million through a company known Amara Sidian Bank by falsely pretending that he was in a position to supply Microcuvettes medical kits.
He allegedly committed the offence on diverse dates between April 1, and May 19 in Nairobi.
He is further accused of forging a Kenya Bureau of Standards Local COC purporting it to be genuine issued Kebs, an offence he allegedly committed on May 17, at unknown place, jointly with others not before court.
He was released on a bond of Sh4 million.
