A former Teacher has been charged with Obtaining Sh 43Million from a businessman.

Taher Jivanjee Hassan Jamaly appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina and denied the charges against.

Jamaly is accused that on diverse dates between 24th November and 16th December 2023 at Lang’ata, obtained from Mohammed Zakirhusein Lukmanji Sh 43,020,800.

The Magistrate heard that Hassan tricked Zakirhuseun into believing that he would help him convert the Sh 43Million into us dollars.

Hassan pleaded with the court to release him on favorable bond terms adding that he’s a former teacher who lost his job after the arrest and is unable to afford the bail terms given by the court.

He was released him on a bond of Sh 400,000 or an alternative cash bail of the same amount.

The case is to be mentioned on 9th Oct for Pretrial.
