LAND BROKERS FREED ON BAIL

Two brokers have been charged with conspiracy to defraud a land seller of a parcel in Konza valued at Sh10 million.

Alex Mutuku Mbelenzi and Francis Kithusi Matheka appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe and denied the charges.

The two are accused jointly conspiring to defraud Morris Ndambuki Kitivo of the parcel of land in Konza identified as North/ Konza North Block 2 (Malili)/926.

It is alleged that they committed the offence jointly with others not before court,

The charge sheet stated that they defrauded Ndambuki of the land by falsely pretending that they were the genuine owners of the said parcel and sold some plots to Peter Wamwara Githiga and others.

The duo were further charged with obtaining Sh450,000 from Githiga between August 2012 and July 2013 by alleging that they were in a position to sell him some plots.

It is alleged that Mutuku and Kithusi obtained Sh 380,000 from the late John Njoroge Njihia in pretense that they could sell him two plots.

They were released on a bond of Sh 2 Million or an alternative cash bail of Sh 800,000.

The matter will be mentioned on 11th December pending pretrial.
