A college student has been charged with stealing over Sh1.1 million from the National Bank of Kenya.
Giddion Kibett Langat appeared before Milimani Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi and and denied the charges.
Langat is accused that on the 22nd day of January 2025 at unknown place, jointly with others not before court, stole Sh 1,173,352.20 the property of National Bank of Kenya limited.
Prosecution told the court that on the 22nd day of January 2025 at National Bank. Nandi Hills Branch within Nandi County,Langat jointly with others not before court, otherwise than in the course of stealing, dishonestly received Sh. 1,173,352.20 the property of National Bankknowing or having reasons to believe it to be stolen money.
Kibet will spend the weekend at Capital Hill police station pending prebail report .
