A businessman has been charged with defrauding money by pretending he will incorporate a woman in his printing t.shirt business.
Sammy John Nzumbi appeared before Milimani Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi and denied the charges.
Nzumbi is accused that on diverse dates between 16th June and 3rd August, 2023 at Milimani in Nairobi within Nairobi county,he obtained from Linet Nthunya Kaloo.
Prosecution told the court Nzumbi defrauded Sh. 1,024,800.00 by falsely pretending that he was in a position to incorporate her in a tender of printing t-shirts a fact he knew to be false.
He was released on a bond Sh500,000 or alternative cash bail of Sh200,000.
