Two Employees of Genghis Capital Limited have been charged with Sh 17Million fraud.
Mwanamisi Adori Sakwa and Sammy Martins Mwangi appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Geofrey Onsarigo and denied the charges against them.
Adori and Mwangi are charged that on diverse dates between March and September 2023 at Genghis Capital Ltd in Nairobi, jointly with others before court, conspired to defraud cash Sh 17,022,719 the property of Genghis Capital Ltd.
According to the accused defence lawyer the duo are good employees who have been assisting the complainant, who’s their employer on investigation in the company.
The lawyer also told the court that the two have been cooperating with the Investigativing Officer up until on the 13th when they were arrested hence tend to genuinely have no idea about the money missing saga.
The court released the duo on a bond of Sh 2 million or an alternative cashbail of Sh 400,000 plus 1 contact person.
The case will be mentioned on 9th Oct for Pretrial.
