A businessman has been charged with obtaining goods worth over Sh4.6 million by falsely pretending he was in position to pay.

Peter Murimi Mugo appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Benard Ochoi and denied the charges.

Murimi is accused that on diverse dates between 18th and 24th December 2023 in Nairobi jointly with others not before court with intent to defraud obtained goods worth Sh46, 629,0000.

The goods include 670 boxes of Menengai cream 25×800 grams, 500 jerican of 20 liters of pika vegetable cooking oil from Mohamed Suleiman Warsame.

He obtained the goods worth millions by falsely pretending he was in position to pay a fact he knew was false.

They conspired to commit the said crime at Pwc building in Westlands.

He wwas released on a bond of Sh1 million after Prosecution opposed his release on bail.
