A car dealer has been charged with conspiracy to defraud buyer over Sh 12 Million by pretending he was in position to sell luxurious motor vehicle.

Aloise Teddy Kulundu appeared before Milimani Magistrate Geofrey Onsarigo and denied the charges.

Teddy is accused that between 1st February and 5th April this year, jointly with another before court, with intent to defraud conspired to defraud Jackson Mutuku Kiio.

They conspired to defraud Mutuku Sh12,523,000 by falsely pretending that he was in position to sell and supply to him two Motor vehicles, LEXUS LX 570 and Subaru Forester.

The court further heard that Teddy, on 1st February this year, jointly with others not before court, with intent to defraud, obtained Sh 500,000 from Mutuku Kiio by falsely pretending that he was in position to sell and supply him with a Lexus LX 570, a fact he knew to be false.

He is additionally charged with obtaining another Sh 1Million from Mutuku that he was in a position to sell and supply him with a Lexus LX 570.

The court is to deliver a ruling on whether to release him on bail on not on 18th September.
