A laboratory technician has been charged with forging comprehensive insurance certificate.

Stephen Hiuhu Ngigi appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina and denied the charges.

Prosecution told the court that on unknown date, at unknown place within the country, Hiuhu with intent to defraud forged a certificate of Insurance.

He forged comprehensive insurance cover for motor vehicle KDB 014T, purporting it to be a genuine comprehensive insurance certificate issued by Africa Merchant Assurance Company Limited (AMACO), a fact he knew to be false.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh50,0000.
