A man has been charged with several counts of forgery.

Josiah Nicholas Mbathi Mwangi was presented before Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi and denied the charges.

Mbathi was accused of forging an affidavit purpoting it to be genuine and sworn by Catherine Njeri Kinuthia before Ngugi B. Gachogu, an advocate.

The charge stated that he committed the offence on August 13, 2018, at unknown place in Kenya, with intent to defraud.

It is further alleged that on the same dates, while at Nimby Technologies Ltd company offices within Nairobi County, he allegedly forged meeting minutes, purporting it to be genuine meeting minutes counter signed by Catherine Njeri Kinuthia.

The court heard that Mbathi also forged company shares transfer deed form and company resignation letter purporting both to be genuine, prepared and signed by Catherine Njeri Kinuthia.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh300,000.
