High court judge Justice Isaac Lenaola has temporarily restrainedThika Town member of Parliament Alice Ng’ang’a or any other person from subdividing or re-allocating stalls in the disputed Madaraka open-air market in Thika, kiambu county.

Three residents claiming to be chairman and committee members ofMadaraka Market youth group association have sued the Mp saying she incited youth to take up the market and allocate themselves stalls against interest of traders.

They allege that violent youths set the market on fire leading to destruction of property.

The also claim that the youths don’t represent their interests and that facts presented in court are false.

Nganga and the Kiambu county government have been directed to respond to the allegations by the youth within seven days.

The Hearing will be on 18th Dec.2015.
