Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has sued his former confidant now turned foe Sirisia Member of Parliament Major General John Walukhe.

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has sued his former confidant now turned foe Sirisia MP Major General John Walukhe.
The cord principal alleges that the MP from his backyard has caused to be published a defamatory article in the local dailies to the effect that he his being bankrolled by Jubilee.
That defaming story was published between 28, 29 and 30 April 2016.
Mr Wetangula said that the Mp in a local radio station, Sulwe FM said that his presidential activities are being funded by his jubilee comrades.
The cord leader says that the defamatory statements were also published in one local news paper under the headline” Wetangula bankrolled by Jubilee- MP.
Senator Wetangula further claims that the legislator has been seen with National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale at Parliament building presenting weekend budgets to enable him attend rallies in Western.
According to the MP, Wetangula is in the opposition by face but he supports the government.
“Wetangula has never been in opposition, he is finding it difficult to be teargassed all the time that is why he leaving for Jubilee” Walukhe stated.
In a quick rejoinder the senator says that the statements by the MP are untruthful, untrustworthy and deceitful about his political persuasion.
He is also seeking an order restraining the legislator from further causing to be published similar statements that are heavily causing panic among his supporters.
The defamation suit has been certified urgent by Justice Lucy Njuguna and will be heard on 4 July 2016.
