Four police officers arrested over the heinous murder of lawyer Willie Kimani, his client Josphat Mwenda Mwathi and taxi driver Joseph Thinguri Muiruri have been charged.
Fredrick Ole Leliman alias Maasai, Leonard Mwangi Maina, Silvia Wanjiku Wanjohi and Stephen Cheburet Morogo were today morning taken before court to answer to murder charges.
It is alleged that on the night of June 23/24 2016 at Soweto area of Mlolongo within Machakos County the four officers jointly with others not before court murdered the three.
According to investigations, the lawyer, his client and their taxi driver were abducted moments after leaving Machakos court where they had attended a case where one of the officers was an accused.
Lawyer Willie, Mwathi and Muiruri were found stacked in sacks and thrown in Athi River. According to a pathologist report, their bodies were severely mutilated.
The prosecution said that they have enough documentary evidence to sustain the case and bring the officers to justice.
