A man of 53-years has been charged with carjacking and threatening a politicians wife.
Simon Muthee allegedly car jacked 2013 presidential aspirant and Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth’s wife Ann Wanjiru.
He is accused of committing the offence on August 6 at Kibagare way in Gigiri, with other accomplices.
It is also alleged that Muthee threatened to harm Ms Wanjiru.
He denied the charges before Milimani chief resident magistrate Daniel Ogembo.
He was remanded until Friday when a ruling on his bail application will be delivered.
The gang is said to have had a pistol, attacked Wanjiru and stole her Sh6 million Land Rover Freelander.
The vehicle was later found in Amagoro, Busia county.
The robbers also took two Samsung Note 3 phones valued at Sh170,000, Nakumatt smart cards and other valuables worth Sh6.3 million.
Wanjiru has been listed as a witness in the matter.
