A Businessman has been arraigned in a Kajiado court for obtaining 29million shillings from the family of former Langata Member of Parliament Philip Leakey.
It is alleged that Paul Parttore Ole Kaikai between February 12 2011 and June 2014 in various places fraudulently obtained Kshs 29 million from Patricia Ann Luke and William Richard Quentin Luke pretending they were in a position to sell some parcels of land in Kajiado, a fact they knew was not true.
Kaikai faced another charge of making a false title deed. According to the state, the accusd claimed the deed is registered under Mr amboko Ole /Malei, issued by the land registry Kajiado County.
Paul Kaika who appeared before Kajiado Resident magistrate Evans Misicha denied any of the charges read out to him.
He faced another count of making a title deed and a Beacon certificate purporting it to have been made by J.D. Obel after establishing land boundaries of the said land in Kajiado.
Prosecution has listed six witnesses to testify against Mr Kaikai.
He was released on a bond of 8 million and surety of the same amount.
The matter was fixed for hearing on March 13th 2017
