A Nairobi based business man has been charged with defilement of three children aged between 8 and 10 years.
50 years old-Albert Nchabera Ongera is alleged to have committed the acts between 1st and 28th February 2017 at Kibra Karanja, in Nairobi County.
It’s also alleged on diverse date between January 1 and 28 February at Kibera in kibra intentionally defiled of aged 8 years girl.
He is facing 8 counts of defilement.
Nchabera denied the charges before Nairobi, Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi who termed the offences as serious and said cash bail was not commensurate.
He however released him on a 1.5 million shillings bond and one surety of a similar amount.
The magistrate said he will not give the cash bail because it is not commensurate to the offence and therefore not cash bail.
The accused failed to take plea in the morning after the initial charge sheet was rejected by the magistrate on account that the complainants names had been included by a police officer who is yet to take a course in Charge sheet drafting 101.
Hearing will be on 13 of July 2017.
