A nubian ,Suleiman Yusuf Hajee wants Jubilee party ordered to reconstitute its nominee list for the Nairobi County Government.
He wants to be nominated by the party as an MCA saying that the list presented by Jubilee is not representative of the marginalised minority.
Hajee also wants the court to stop Jubilee from further or future nominations for the positions of member County Assembly of Nairobi for Jubilee party without following the constitution and relevant status.
He claims that Jubilee Party published a list of nominees to the county assembly of Nairobi which did not contain names of persons representing marginalized communities.
“Jubilee party acted contrary to the law in submitting to the IEBC a list of nominees which did not contain names of persons representing marginalized communities, “argues the petitioner.
He claims that he’s a member of the party and has file the case on behalf of other ethnic marginalized minority jubilee members of Nairobi.
“I am a member of the Nubi ethnic group, registered voter and a resident of Kibra in Nairobi County, “claims Yusuf.
He claims that he went before the political party’s dispute resolution tribunal and obtained an order directing Jubilee party to reconstitute its nominees in accordance with the constitution.
He argues that despite the orders the party disregarded the same ands submitted to IEBC the same list that it had been ordered to reconstitute without reconstituting the same.
He now wants the court to quash the party’s list for representing the special interest.
