Two Nairobi based businessmen have been arraigned before a Nairobi Court over 6.2 million fraud .
David Matu Githua and Kelvin Githaiga Mutahi are accused that on November 8 last year at Mirage Towers in Westland’s in Nairobi County ,they conspired to defraud James Kamau Mwangi a motor vehicle worth 4.1 million shillings.
They are also alleged to have committed a similar offence on the same day.
It is alleged on 8 November 2017, at NIC Bank aCiata Mall branch , with intent to defraud , obtained from one James Kamau Mwabgi the sum of Kshs 2,100,000 by falsely pretending that they were in position to sell a Toyota Double cabin black..
They are further accused on a different date same mall, they obtained from one James Kamau Mwangi the sum of Kshs 4,100,000 by falsely pretending that you were in a position to sell a motor vehicle Land cruiser pearl in colour.
They are facing seven fraud charges.
They denied all charges before Nairobi Senior Principal Magistrate Martha Mutuku. They were released on a cash bail of 1 million shillings each.
The Magistrate dismissed application by their lawyer seeking to differ plea.
