Three businessmen have been charged with conspiracy to defraud Kenya Red Cross.

The three ,Willy Kipruto Saina ,Bett Kipkurui and Abdulla Mohammed Sheikh are accused that between March 7 and May this year ,jointly with others not before court conspired to defraud Kenya Red Cross Ksh.1.973.245 million by falsely claiming they were in position to supply goods valued 1.973.245 million shillings.

Prosecution also accused the trio that on 17 of May this year at Kenya Red Cross headquarters in Nairobi , being Finance officer and Budget Analysis Officer respectively to Kenya Red Cross , stole 1,973,245 million shillings property of Kenya Red Cross which came into there position by virtue of their employment.

They are also accused of jointly with others not before court forged the signature of Mumina Dhahiri in the delivery note of Dulla Limited dated 22/3/2018 purporting to have been signed by Mumina Dhahiri.

They are further accused of stealing by servants almost 2 million shillings the property of Kenya Red Cross.

They pleaded to not guilty to several charges of forgery before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andanyi.

They were released on a cash bail of 500,000 shillings and a bond of 1 million shillings.
