Justice Sankale ole Kantai has sued a local newspaper for publishing defamatory story between diverse dates on February 21 to 25,2020.
In his certificate of urgency the court of appeal judge wants the court to restrain the local daily from further publishing defamatory stories against him.
“The allegations contained in the said articles had clear intention to scandalize, defame and injure the reputation of the Justice Sankale and exposed him to hatred, contempt and ridicule with sole aim of causing damage and injury to his reputation,”says lawyer Fred Ahuok for the judge in his court papers.
The appellate judge claim that the allegations contained in the article had clear intention to scandalous and injure his reputation and expose him to hatred , ridicule with the sole aim of causing humiliation.
He accuses the newspaper of intentionally, deliberately and maliciously manufacturing facts and used libelous and emphatic language.
