A 15 year old teen boy has been charged before a Kibera court with robbery with violence.
The minor appeared before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Philip Mutua and pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The charges levelled against the teenager were that on August 22 along Tom Mboya Street near Tuskeys Supermarket in Nairobi Central Business District, robbed a phone from a police officer. The court heard that the minor was armed with a knife.
He allegedly robbed corporal Stephen Kivinda of an Oppo A93 mobile phone worth Sh30,000.
It is alleged that during the time of the robbery, the boy threatened to use actual violence against the said police.
The court directed him to post cash bail of Ksh500,000 to secure his release.
