A polish national who was arrested flying drone over Deputy President William Ruto resident on Tuesday morning has been charged with four counts.

Piotr Lukasz Litwiniuk who is claimed to be a tourist appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku but did not plead to the charges

According to charge sheet, Litwiniuk is accused that on January 7, this year at Moi International Airport within Mombasa County he imported an unnamed aircraft system Mavic air 2 drone without a permit issued by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority in the contravention of the law.

The charge further state that on March 29 this year at Karen area within Nairobi County Litwiniuk operated unnamed drone without authorizatiom of KCAA.

He is also charged with failing to register the said drone with Kenya Civil Aviation Authority.

He was released on a bond of Sh 500,000 or cash bail of Sh200,000 pending negotiations.

The court will be informed on Tuesday next week if negotiations are successful and charges dropped.

This after the accused lawyer told the court that they were negotiating with the complaint so charges can be dropped.
