BUSINESSMAN CHARGED WITH SH2.5 MILLION LAPTOPS FRAUD.

A businessman has been charged before a Nairobi court with obtaining Sh2. 5 million from businessman Mohamedamin Abdullahi Hassan.

Abdirazack Ali Hassan appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi and pleaded not guilty.

Abdirazack is accused that on diverse dates September 30 and October 19 last year in Central Business District within Nairobi County with intent to defraud obtained Sh2.5 million.

Prosecution told the court that he obtained the millions from Mohamedamin Abdullahi Hassan of Broitta International ltd by falsely pretending that he was in position to supply him with 20 pieces of HP laptop and 14 pieces of HP laser jet printers all valued Sh2. 5 million a fact he knew was false.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh200, 000 or a bond of Sh500, 000 pending hearing and determination of the fraud case.

Prosecution has listed four witnesses including Safaricom legal officer.

The case will be mentioned on October 5 for further directions.
