A woman has been charged with unlawfully making registration certificates of Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.

Mildred Mbehero Ivasha appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi and denied the charges.

Ivasha is accused of making a certificate of registration for Reg No. A02317 dated March 14, 2011 in her name, purporting it to be a genuine certificate of registration from the KMLTT Board.

She is alleged to have committed the offense on an unknown date and place jointly with others not before court, with intent to defraud.

The accused is also charged with making an annual registration renewal certificate dated 31st December 2012 in her name purporting it to be genuine and presenting it to a board official.

The court heard that on February 4, 2022 at the KMLTTB in Upper Hill Nairobi, she knowingly and fraudulently uttered the said certificate to Patrick Kisabei, an executive officer of the said KMLTTB, purporting it to be genuine.

She was released on a cash bail of Sh50,000.
