Five employees of a motorcycle dealer and repair shop have been charged with conspiracy to defraud their employer of Sh9 million.

Josephine Njoroge, Emanuel Wakanyi, Beth Wanjiru Ngugi, Edmard Muriri and George Kituku who are employees of TET Otimotif parts and industries were accused of conspiring to steal the money last year.

The court heard that they committed the offence on diverse dates between April 21 and September 21 last year within Kiambu county.

The employees include a general manager, sales manager and sales persons and the charge sheet states that they conspired to steal Sh9,018,871.

The four appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi and denied the charges.

The court directed them to deposit cash bail of Sh600,000 each, to secure their release.
