Veteran lawyer Donald Kipkorir, an ardent supporter of ODM leader Raila Odinga has now pledged his loyalty to President William Ruto.
While shifting his stance, the outspoken lawyer dismissed naysayers, saying he has no apologies to make and they must move on. “c’est la vie!”
“I hereby & without any qualification pledge my allegiance & loyalty to our President, President William Ruto,” said Donald Kipkorir.
Kipkorir said on August 9, Kenyans elected William Ruto as its 5th President and he became the President for 52 million Kenyans.
“As a patriotic Kenya, the principal obligation I have always held dear is loyalty to the President of the Country. I’ve never equivocated on this since I turned 18,” added Kipkorir.
He further welcomed the appointment of Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen as cabinet secretary nominee, saying it was the first time his home county Marakwet got a cabinet post.
“For the first time since Independence, my people the Marakwet have a substantive Cabinet Minister in Kipchumba Murkomen … For long, the Marakwet was a Kalenjin neglected step-child. I wish Senator Murkomen Godspeed!
The lawyer has been an ardent support of Odinga and was one of his lawyers when the ODM leader filed a case before the Supreme Court, challenging Ruto’s win.
