A litigation officer based at the Senate has been charged with misuse of a firearm.
Edward Libendi Anguche appeared before Milimani Chief magistrate Lukas Onyina and denied the charge.
Anguche is accused of discharging his Glock firearm indiscriminately, injuring Stephen Omusulwa.
It is alleged that the incident happened on 26th March 2023 at the Shell petrol station in Adams Arcade along Ngong Road in Kilimani.
While asking to be released on bond, the official said he is a practicing advocate for the last 15 years and therefore, not a flight risk.
He was released on a cash bail of Sh 50,000.
The case will be mentioned on 5th April for further directions.
