A businessman has been charged with stealing over Sh86 million from Abyssinia Iron and Steel Limited.
Ankit Kumar Patel appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina where he denied the charges.
Kumar was charged with conspiracy to steal the money on diverse dates between 1st May 2022 and 2nd September 2023 at Athi River within Machakos county.
It is alleged that he committed the offence jointly with others not before court.
Kumar was released on a bond of Sh5 million or alternative cash bail of Sh1 million pending hearing and determination of the criminal case.
