A 68-year-old American serial paedophile faces new defilement charges a few months after he was mysteriously released from jail before completing a 50-year sentence.
Terry Ray Krieger was presented before a Mavoko court facing fresh charges of children pornography, benefiting from child prostitution, child abuse and promoting sexual with a child as well as being in Kenya illegally.
Mavoko Chief Magistrate Barbra Ojoo declined to grant Krieger bond after he denied the charges.
The court ordered the prosecution to produce records of his previous conviction in the USA and information of his pending warrants of arrest, within 30 days.
Krieger is accused of sexually abusing a child aged three years, an offence he allegedly committed on diverse dates between 1st October and 8th November, 2023 at Great wall gardens estate phase three, in Athi River.
He is also charged with knowingly displaying obscene images by means of audio visual to thre-year-old child, with an intention of enabling him to engage in sexual acts.
The charges stated that he committed the offence on diverse dates between 1st October and the 9th day of November 2023, at Great wall Gardens Estate Phase 3, in Athi River sub-county within Machakos County,
The American was also accused of being in Kenya illegally in contravention of Kenya Immigration Act.
Further charges stated that he knowingly permitted a child aged 3 years to remain in his house to participate in indecent acts, an offence he committed on 9th day of November, 2023 at his house on Great wall Gardens estate.
According to the prosecution, Krieger further displayed to an 8-year-old kid a sex toy with the intention of encouraging the child to perform such sexual acts.
He is facing further charges of exposing the said child in an electronic online platform for purposes of prostitution or unlawful sexual practice for the purpose of sexual gratification.
The matter will be mentioned on 27th November for pretrial and a hearing date was set for 20th December 2023.
