A pilot has been charged with assaulting his estranged wife in Parklands area.

Mohamed Feisal Mughal was charged before Kibera Law Court Chief Magistrate Ann Mwangi with assaulting Sharath Ismail Ibrahim occasioning her bodily harm.

The charge stated that he committed the offence on the 14 day of May, 2003 in Parklands area causing her actual bodily harm.

The prosecution opposed the application by the accused person to be released on bail arguing that he was at flight risk.

The court directed that Mughal be detained at Parklands police station and the probation report be filed in court in a week’s time, to assist the magistrate in determining the bond terms.

According to a police report, the accused person ordered the complaint to cut his hair. The complainant allegedly asked the estranged husband to be polite in the request but instead the accused her husband turned wild abusing her and pounced on her with slaps assaulting her.

The incident allegedly happened on the 14th of May 2023 at Tula Estate along Mwanzi road Parklands in Westland Sub-county.

She allegedly sustained bruises in her right cheek and reported the matter at Parklands police station where she was issued with a P3 form. She later sought medication where she was treated and discharged in fair condition.

Mughal was later arrested and was slapped with the assault charge.
