A worker of a consumer product firm has been charged with stealing more than Sh39 million that came into his possession by virtue of his job.
Wycliff Mwangi Githinji, an employee of Chemi and Cotex (K) is alleged to.have stolen Sh39.9 million.
He appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Benard Ochoi and denied the charge.
The charge sheet stated that Githinji stole Sh39,904,841 on diverse dates between January 3, 2022 and December 7, 2023.
Githinji jointly with others not before court, being employees of Chemi and Cotex (K) ltd stole the said millions which came into their possession by the virtue of employment.
He was released on a bond of Sh5 million or alternative cash bail of Sh3 million.
