A Congolese man has been charged with falsely obtaining Sh15 million from a businessman in a fake gold scam.
Dally Poba Puati appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi and denied the charges.
The charges stated that he committed the offence on diverse dates between 1st August and 1st September 2023 at Kileleshwa area in Nairobi County, with others not before court.
The court was informed that with intent to defraud, the Congolese conspired to steal Sh 15,000,000 from Isah Mikail Muhammad by falsely pretending he was in position of selling him 5 kgs of gold.
The court ordered the probation officer to submit a report to assist in the determination of his bond terms.
