GARISSA County KANU official has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to join the party for the prosperity of the country.

Mzee Siyad Kuno Hussein who is the branch chairman argues that since the multi-party era was introduced, the country was faced with many challenges including economic crime and social injustice.

Siyad said Kanu is associated with luckiness because it brought about the country independence and had wise leadership including Kenyatta’s father, the late President Jomo Kenyatta and President Danile arap Moi.

He recalled that during Kanu reign, its leadership used to seek advice from all over corner of the country where delegation consisting of elders and in today’s day running affairs of the government.

“I urge President Uhuru and other leaders to come back to Kanu. Rudi kwa chama ya Kanu…ni kwa baba na mama (come back to the party of father and mother),” said the official while renovating Kanu branch office yesterday.

He said parties affiliated to Jubilee and Cord brought insincerity and encouraged wide spread corruption which led to economic crime and terrorism.

Siyad said Kenyans are tied of game blame brought about by these political parties.
