Senior Counsel James Orengo, Ruaraka Member of Parliament Tom Kajwang(cener) with Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament Timothy Bosire outside Milimani law courts after high court directed government to reinstate his bodyguards on Tuesday April 13, 2016..

The High Court has directed the government to reinstate Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament Timothy Bosire’s bodyguards.

Justice Isaac Lenaola said that the act of withdrawing Mr Bosire’s security raises an issue of discrimination.

The judge also said that the temporary orders are to remain in force pending the hearing of the case on April 27.

The MP filed the suit on Monday.

Mr Bosire claimed his security detail was withdrawn after he defiantly refused to stand up during the March 31 State of the Nation address by President Uhuru Kenyatta, in honour of Kenya Defence Forces soldiers killed in Somalia.

President Kenyatta on noting this urged him to stand as this was in honour of Kenya’s fallen soldiers in Somali.

The MP also said he did not stand up because he did not want to appease the public and “sweep under the carpet” the plight of Kenyan soldiers in Somalia.
