CS for Environment Dr Judy Wakhungu who has been ordered to appear in court.

The High Court in Nairobi has ordered the CS for Environment Dr Judy Wakhungu to appear before it.
Dr Wakhungu has not obeyed a court order issued by the court requiring her ministry to uproot a weed by the name Prospius Julifora.
Justice Isaac Lenaola ruled that the weed has continues to cause more harm than good.
He said, “This court cannot shut its eyes to the continuing injustice occasioned to the applicants as a result of failure by the ministry to comply with orders.
Judge Lenaola said that the best remedy was to summon the CS to explain why her ministry has never acted on the orders issued on February 27 2008.
The case was filed by Baringo residents following several protests against on the effects of the weed on their animals, losing teeth.
